These days are asking so much of each one of us in terms of growth, patience and adaptability. In times of distress, I've found that I need to hold a quiet space within myself to better understand the shifts happening both around + within me. And with the world feeling as topsy turvy as it has, I've felt a deep inner calling to move towards meaningful peace + wellness in my life.
We each tend to our hearts in different ways during stressful times. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. I think the most important thing is to recognize + honor what works best for you as an individual.
For me, peace + wellness have always been more of a journey than a destination. This year, that has meant tending to my mental health with a long absence from social media. It has meant slowing down, and really allowing myself to be fully present in the things that bring me joy in life. It has meant growing and tending a garden, a family, a home, and a business. It has meant keeping my heart open to beauty, poetry, art and nature, and inviting them to nourish and inspire me. It has required deep pause, reflection and surrender. It has also required a tremendous amount of gentleness + compassion, towards myself + others.
