PRODUCT USE + CARE:

Natural Sea Sponge Care:

Your natural sea sponge is an naturally harvested, biodegradable material made of delicate collagen fibers. With just a bit of thoughtful care, it will stay soft, resilient, and long-lasting.

Before First Use:

Natural sponges sometimes arrive slightly dry or flattened from their journey. Simply soak in lukewarm water for a few minutes to allow the fibers to soften and fully rehydrate. Gently squeeze (never wring or twist) to release excess water.

Daily Care:

After each use, rinse thoroughly in clean, lukewarm water, then gently squeeze out the water and allow the sponge to dry completely in a well-ventilated area. Avoid leaving it in standing water, steam-filled showers, or sealed containers.

Monthly Refresh (Optional but Recommended)

To naturally discourage bacteria growth and keep your sponge fresh, soak it for 10–15 minutes in the following gentle solution:

1 cup warm (not hot) water
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
A few drops of tea tree essential oil

Rinse thoroughly afterward and allow to air dry.

Note: Avoid harsh disinfectants, bleach, boiling water, microwaving, or very hot water, as these can damage or weaken the natural fibers.

General Tips:

Sponges are biodegradable and will naturally wear over time—this is part of their life cycle.
With proper care, most last several months depending on frequency of use.
Any natural variations in texture or color are part of the sponge’s unique character.
