Our Sustainable Dishwashing Duo features two perfectly rounded, ergonomic handled brushes. This handy set is a simple + stylish alternative to plastic dish brushes and sponges. This set offers one dark bristled brush which is perfect for heavy duty scrubbing of pots + pans, and one light bristled brush which is perfect for general dishwashing. Both brushes also work great for cleaning your fruits and vegetables.

Made with Moso bamboo handles and medium weight natural fiber bristles, the 100% natural construction cleans without releasing toxic micro-plastics and abrasive particles into the environment. Agave and palmyra fiber bristles are grown, harvested, sun-dried and processed in Mexico using traditional techniques to ensure a high quality and strong natural fiber.

Product Use:

Use for 1-6 months, depending on the frequency of usage and proper storage.

Recommended Brush Care:
  • Minimize Prolonged Exposure to Water: Try not to soak the bamboo brushes in water for extended periods. This practice reduces the amount of water absorbed and limits swelling.
  • Proper Drying: After use, rinse the brush and allow it to dry thoroughly in an airy, non-humid environment. Position the brush bristles down to facilitate water drainage from the bamboo handle.
  • Oil Treatment: Periodically applying a food-safe oil to the handle can help maintain its natural moisture balance, making it less prone to cracking. The oil creates a barrier that reduces the bamboo's direct exposure to water and environmental changes.
  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Store the brush away from sources of heat, such as stoves or direct sunlight, which can cause the bamboo to dry out too quickly and increase the risk of cracking.

Why it Matters :

Plastic bristle scrub brushes shed tiny pieces of plastic called micro plastics. Unfortunately these tiny plastic pieces are not filtered out fully by sewage treatment. So when you hear about the "Great Pacific Garbage Patch" the majority of this garbage patch in the Pacific Ocean is actually tiny pieces of plastic that aren't even visible to the human eye. These tiny plastic pieces are being eaten by marine animals and ending up in the food chain, being consumed by humans in sushi restaurants around the globe! Micro-plastics are also ending up in our tap water. Help us turn off the plastic tap and choose a more sustainable option for humans and the planet.
